The Headache Clinic diagnoses and treats all forms of headaches. Although most often a benign condition, headache of new onset may be the earliest or principal manifestation of serious systemic or intracranial disease, therefore, requires thorough and systematic evaluation.

Headache is generally categorized as primary or secondary. A headache is considered primary when a disease or other medical condition does not cause it. Examples of primary headache include tension headache, migraine headache, and cluster headache. Secondary headaches are caused by other medical conditions, such as brain aneurysm, brain tumor, brain infection, stroke, sinusitis, neck injuries or abnormalities, sleep apnea.
