The Mystery of the Mind
Imaging
An Overview
Neuroimaging includes the use of various techniques to image the
central nervous system (brain and spinal
cord). The Washington Neuroscience Institute maintains a high level
of clinical standard with the latest
technology in MRI (a 3.0 Tesla scanner for optimal imaging) and a
partnership with radiologists who are fellowship-trained in
neurology.
Valley Radiologists' neuroradiologists work hand in hand with WNI
physicians. They are specially trained to interpret imaging results,
diagnose diseases and recommend further examinations or treatments.
Valley Radiologists' imaging capabilities encompass both structural
and functional, allowing for the following studies:
Our Services
Our imaging services include:
- MRI (magnetic resonance imaging)
- fMRI (functional magnetic resonance imaging)
- SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography)
- SISCOM (Subtraction ictal-interictal SPECT co-registered to MRI)
- PET CT (positron emission computed tomography)
- CT (computed tomography), using the powerful 64 channel CT
- Angiogram (fluroscopy guided)
